Transportation Services

Domestic delivery speed is important. These services are perhaps the most affected by the element of speed. The last decade has made one thing clear for all industries, i.e. with the advent of technology, and speed is a key factor affecting customer behavior.

Consequently, there is a need for the parcel delivery service to be a speedy and convenient process. Contrariwise, if customers experience inefficient services, they will find delivery services unappealing in every sense of the word. Therefore, delivery companies must simplify transactions and decisions to ensure an easy buying process of services. Hence, we have compiled a list of some domestic delivery platforms in the US and their efficiency in terms of speed:

United States Postal Service (USPS)

USPS is a delivery company that has two major divisions in terms of domestic delivery speed. One of these options encompasses a package weighing under 1lb. These packages arrive at their domestic destination within 1-3 business days, depending on the shipping zone. Conversely, packages over 1lb can take more time. However, if a customer selects to prioritize the container, the same speed and time are followed for parcels weighing under 1lb.

Sendle

Sendle is a domestic delivery company that does not offer express delivery services. However, same-city deliveries tend to get delivered overnight. On the other hand, deliveries to nearby cities take up to 2-3 days. Thus, Sendle makes up for not offering express services by showcasing speed in their standard delivery option.

UPS

All packages mailed from USPS are processed and transferred to the U.S. Postal Service within 48 hours. After that, the platform delivers the shipment within 3-5 business days. However, shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or international take over seven business days. Furthermore, international shipments can usually take 2-3 weeks for final delivery, and tracking information may be limited. USPS provides a service of 1/2 business day delivery from UPS pickup date for domestic shipments.

DHL Express

The estimated delivery time for DHL Express is of 5-7 business days within the U.S. and up to 2-3 weeks internationally. However, tracking information may be limited to certain destinations. A service called DHL Max aims to make domestic deliveries in 3-5 business days.

ShipBob

ShipBob offers a 2 Day Express service to their customers. Thus, guaranteeing that any expedited orders before noon local time get fulfilled and labelled by 6 pm local time the same day. This enables the carriers to pick up the order that day as well. If the company fails to mark the shipment by 6 pm local time, they will refund the full fulfilment cost for the shipment.

EasyPost

EasyPost has different delivery time for different kinds of shipments. For example, first-class services enable customers to get letters and packages delivered within 1-3 days. After that, they have the priority services offering domestic delivery in 2-3 days. At the same time, their express service option provides the most speedy domestic delivery of 1-2 days.

FedEx

FedEx offers a few options for their customers to choose from. Some possibilities are cost-effective but show little to no speed. At the same time, other options include 2-day domestic delivery and standard overnight delivery services. Lastly, an option known as Priority Overnight delivers parcels the next business day.
